Here at The Natural Fibre Company in the heart of Launceston, we are very proud of our highly skilled, expert team of people. Our textile industry trained engineers and specialist finishers have been trained in-house and you can be assured that your fleece is in very good hands and that we can be trusted to add value to your product, in order to provide the highest quality possible.
Our office is small but very productive with everyone helping to ensure that we provide an efficient and quality, first class service to our returning and new customers.

Colin is our CEO and owner of the business.
Karen is Finance and Operations Manager.
Kamila is Office Manager overseeing all office operations and assisting with customer enquiries, order processing and invoicing. She also manages the Blacker Yarns brand, liaising with customers, stockists, suppliers and designers. She speaks several languages including English, Polish, Russian and some Czech.
Beki is Business Development Manager. She is the first point of contact for all enquiries regarding commission spinning and oversees our research and development projects and new partnerships and business, and is assisted by Kamila.
Sarah is Marketing and PR Executive, promoting our extensive range of fibre processing services, sharing our latest news, writing case studies and newsletters, managing our social media, websites and other public facing activities.
Katie is Design Assistant supporting the processing and dispatching of Blacker Yarns orders to our customers located all over the world and responding to enquiries, developing new designs and creating made to order machine knitted bespoke garments and samples for our customers and under our own brand names.
Our Mill Team consists of:
James, Carding Engineer who also works with Beki to progress our R&D trials. He was featured as a UKFT Manufacturing Hero, you can read more here (link is external)
Nadia and Reece, our mill operatives handle production up to the finishing stage.
Tom, Finishing Team Leader and Wendy, our mill operative in the finishing department are responsible for plying, washing, reeling, winding and ball-winding the yarns.
